Presbyterian Women - 2006 Annual Report

The Presbyterian Women met a total of nine times with an average of eight women present.

Our meetings included devotions, a business meeting, Fellowship of the Least Coin and followed by a variety of programs, refreshments and fellowship.

Some of our programs were open to the whole congregation.

The PW supports the Fellowship of the Least Coin, Birthday and Thank Offerings, the Afton and Harpursville Elementary Health Offices and different missions throughout the year.

We purchased lilies and poinsettias for the seasons and then distribute them to shut-ins and others in the church and community. We sew baby gowns and blankets for overseas missions ad provide socks and underwear for the young school children who need them.

Our missions for the year 2006 were: Life Works, Orphan Cry, Golden Key Ministry, Candlehouse Teen Challenge, Thea Bowman House, and the Broome County Council of Churches Jail Ministry.

We also supported the Sunday School's sponsored child.

We are small in numbers but very big in heart, love and caring. We thank all of you who have helped us in all we do ... we couldn't do it without you. Most of all, we thank God for all of His blessings and love.

Respectfully submitted, Mary Ann, Secretary
