The window with the open bible, as its central image, was given in memory of Able Stowell and his wife, Elizabeth Poole Stowell.
Able joined the Nineveh church in 1832 and was an Elder of our church from 1849 to 1893.

The window with the crown, as its central image, was given in memory of Claribel Pearsall.
Claribel joined our church in 1884 and was the first wife of Daniel Pearsall.
Claribel died before Daniel and he remarried Mrs. Oldendorf, who also has a memorial window in our church.

The window with the ten commandments, as its central image, was given in memory of Charles D. Wasson.
Charles was an Elder of our church from 1912 to 1918. His wife was Belle Wasson and his son, Arthur.
This image of the ten commandments is often termed the decalogue (meaning "the ten words"), and
represents the two tablets on which God wrote the ten commandments for Moses (Exodus 20 + Deut. 5).
Note this image has the first four commandments, which deal with a person's relationship to God, on the first tablet
and the last six commandments, which deal with a person's relationship to other people, on the the second tablet.
Other traditions will sometime represent the decalogue with only the first three commandments on the first tablet
and the last seven commandments on the second tablet.

The window with the red anchor-cross, as its central image, was given in memory of Miland A. Mudge.
Miland joined our church in 1875 and was one of the five people who started the Nineveh Cemetery.
The Anchor Cross is among the earliest symbols of Jesus Christ in Christianity.
During pre-Constantine persecutions, non-Christians saw only an anchor,
Christians saw a symbol of Jesus Christ - the "anchor of our soul" (Heb. 6;19).
Below the Anchor Cross is a 5-pointed star surrounded by a wreath of victory.
The 5-pointed star is also a symbol of Jesus Christ (Mat. 2; 2 , Num. 24; 17 , Rev. 22; 16)

The window with the red cross and vine, as its central image, was given in memory of Orrin B. Johnson.
Orrin was a Deacon in our church from 1903 to 1905.
This cross with flowered vine is termed "Latin Cross"; like the Anchor Cross a very old Christian symbol.
Below the cross is the Greek letter Omega. The window opposite this window in the church has the Alpha.
Alpha + Omega are a symbol for Jesus Christ (Rev. 22; 13 , Heb. 13; 8)

The window with the harp, as its central image, was given in memory of Rev. H.G. Margetts.
Pastor Margetts started in May 1912 and died on October of that same year.
The harp reflects our joyful worship of God (Ps 33; 2-3 , Ps 150)

The two windows at the main entrance of the church both share the same symbol.
The west window also names the symbol, which is for: Christian Endeavor.
Christian Endeavor, at an earlier time, was an international Christian movement for youth.
