A ten-year
statistical analysis of attendance records, for each Presbyterian
congregation, is available at the PC(USA) web site.
Our church is
about half the size of the average Presbyterian congregation because
of our rural location. Our adult membership, over the last ten
years, has been very stable with a variation, from year-to-year, of less
than 10%.
PC(USA) statistics
indicate that small and medium-size rural churches have a higher percentage
of their members attending worship services, each Sunday. Our church attendance records are consistent with this
finding. The NPC adult worship-attendance metric, measured as a percent
of total adult members, has remained consistently high for each year
of this ten year study ( 1996 - 2006 ).
